Draft v10, Sept 17. WD / Approach. This bar, the Tweaks button and the notes at the bottom are not part of the design.

How we run

One creative director, senior collaborators brought in by discipline, and AI to speed up the repeatable work. Seven steps from the first call to a site on your own account, and a person signs off on every one.

The sequence01 of 07

Discovery

Fig. 01Your live site, brought into focus.

01

Discovery

Before we speak, we read your live site: what is working, what is broken, and what the brand already looks like on the page. We write up what we see. Then an intro call, then a kickoff of about an hour and a working doc you fill in: pages, references, who posts after launch.

02

The map

Before we design anything, we map the brands you compete with and where each one sits. The gap on that map is where you go. You see it first, and the direction is built from it.

Your callThe position, named. The plot only shows the gap.

03

Two directions

At least two. Each is built on values we name for a brand, or goals we name for a site, so when you say no to one, we know which value to lean on next. They differ in composition, not color.

Your callThe pick.

04

Guidelines

The Brand Rules come first, in Figma: logo, type, color, layout, assets. You sign them off before anything is built from them. Then they become a live page inside your site, built from the same styles the site uses, so the guidelines and the site can’t disagree.

Your callThe sign-off.

05

Build and QA

We build on a staging link you can watch, and nothing goes live without your approval. Before launch we audit the site and rank every issue: blocker, should-fix, polish. On our current build, one pass took the accessibility scan from 205 issues to 34.

Your callThe fix list, then the go-ahead. A person presses publish, on your side or ours. Nothing publishes itself.

06

Presentation

Two rounds on a call. The strategy recapped, the position shown, then the work running on desktop and phone, then the pages. You hear why before you see what, and nothing sits still in a PDF.

Your callWhat ships.

07

Handoff

You get the site on your own account, the source files, one recorded Walkthrough, and the Styleguide page inside the site. Then the retainer can start, with the first month free, and we stay on.

Your callThe handoff, and who on your team runs it.

What you keep running

Every project ends as Locked Components, the page sections your team builds from, not pages they inherit. New pages are made from sections that already exist, so an off-brand color has no way in.

Try it / this is a pretend site. Nothing you do here can break anything.

The Brand Rules in the site

Color, type and spacing are set once, in Webflow. Change one and the whole site follows.
